Amanda has a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Professional Coach specialized in complex trauma, intimacy disorders, infidelity, healthy sexuality and compulsive sexual behavior. She facilitated recovery groups in 2011 with, and has worked with founder Rick Reynolds, LCSW since 2010. She also worked closely as a post-graduate with Cara Weed, LCSW, CSAT, an expert in Pia Mellody's experiential model which addresses love addiction, avoidance and reparenting family of origin trauma. Along with running her own private practice, she currently is an associate partner with the SAT Project (Sexuality, Attachment and Trauma) led by Professor Michael Crocker, PhD in New York City. Amanda's training has built her core competencies around treating the complexity of issues that underlie marital affairs, intimacy disorders, sexual issues and sexual addiction. Amanda completed her clinical mental health counseling practicum and internship with Meridian Psychotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA under the supervision of Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Patricia Smith, LPC, LMFT and former Clinical Director Dr. Michael Bohan, Addictionologist and Certified Sex Addition Therapist (CSAT).
